Full documentary (2 hrs 57min)
It boggles the mind to comprehend that the 2004 documentary The Power of Nightmares by the BBC’s Adam Curtis, has been informing this American’s existence for 20 years while some Americans - in an internet age - have never even heard of it, let alone seeing it’s prescience for what has transpired since it’s airing, as well as for today …and for tomorrow.
The Power of Nightmares explores the origins in the 1940’s and 1950’s of Islamic fundamentalism in the Middle East, and Neoconservatism in America, the parallels between these movements, both projecting and enhancing the worst nightmares of Fear to motivate a somewhat complacent general public behind their cause.
Information is the way out of Fear and Nightmares.
