Bush V. Gore at 24 (12/12/00)
24 Years Ago Today SCOTUS Fired The First Shot For America's Fascist Coup
Bush v. Gore, a legal case decided by The Supreme Court on December 12, 2000, reversed an order by the Florida Supreme Court for a selective manual recount of that state’s U.S. presidential election ballots. The 5–4 per curiam (unsigned) decision effectively awarded Florida’s 25 Electoral College votes to Republican candidate George W. Bush, thereby ensuring his victory over Democratic candidate Al Gore.
Justice John Paul Stevens argued that the manual recount order had not violated the equal protection clause and that the majority’s reversal of the order contradicted principles of federalism and the Court’s tradition of deferring to state courts regarding the interpretation of their own states’ laws.

An unedited pool feed. I'm not sure of the exact date. My best guess is between November 9th and the 19th, 2000.
clip 2) James Baker
November 10, 2000
Having endured catastrophe after catastrophe over the Bush years, watch James Baker in 2000 discuss why "recount after recount" would be a bad thing. He also mentions the "endless wrangling and procedures and legal maneuvering" going on.
James Baker - engaging in endless wrangling, procedures and legal maneuvering - would later go on to defend the Saudis (who were being sued by Americans) for their involvement in the crime of 9/11.
…and the rest, they say, is history.
